ALIAS provides methods for the five areas where language can serve as forensic evidence:
Identification: who authored it? who wrote it? what language is this? (who said it? in development)
Text Classification: is this document a threat? a suicide note? a predatory chat? is this document deceptive?
Text Similarity: how similar are these documents considering words, words in a row, or word clusters?
Source Profiling: what is the native language of the source of this document? What linguistic capacity does the source have? Is the source of the document schizophrenic?
